Where has the time gone?

Well, the last time that I blogged anything, my daughter's basketball team had just lost in the elite 8 and my son was rehabing from shoulder surgery. Man how time has flown. It is now more than a year later and Nathan will be graduating and Karly will be a Freshman in High School. Unfortunately things have not been real smooth since last year. Nathan reinjured his shoulder and did not get to play football like he planned. It has been a really long year, but he did get to play basketball, although he wasn't very happy about his play. I told him it isn't easy to get back into it after being out for so long. He pretty much sat his whole junior year due to the injury and it has taken him forever to get back into it. His team was pretty successful and he was a big reason for it.

Karly's basketball team did really well this year, but they didn't make it to state. Her volleyball team did make it to state, something no volleyball team in Arthur has ever done. It was amazing. She really enjoyed it this year and is looking forward to highschool volleyball. Now we are in track season and both kids are going all out. Karly probably has the most pressure on her since she is the 7th grade state Shot put champion from last year. I actually think she is putting the most pressure on herself. She wants to win it again this year, but it will be tough. I also think she will be going to state in two other events this year and could do really, really well. She has the possibility of going in discus and in the 4 x 100. She has gone the last two years in the 4 x 100, but not the discus. We shall see just what unfolds.

Nathan could also go to state in relay events, except he hurt his hamstring in the first meet......I have always said that it wouldn't be a sports season if Nathan didn't get hurt. Hopefully we will get through the rest of this year without any more major injuries to either one.

I am still looking for a job, but so is everyone else in the whole world I think. Times are definately tough, but thank goodness I have a loving family to support me.

That's all for now.
